When I mean avoid i mean as in to live in for a short while.

Lou (Summer22) is around Southampton so is probably your best bet

I live in Southampton for 4 years while I was at uni there but have no idea about Fawley

Sphinx is, i am, well just down the road in fareham, luca is a bit further down the road in portsmouth. Fawley and surrounding areas are pretty safe to be honest. How come?

I grew up and lived in Southampton for alot of years. Fawley isnt too bad, Hythe is quite a nice area although stear clear of Netly View as it has (or had) a fairly bad reputation.

Strictly speaking Fawley and the surrounding area's are part of the New Forest not Southampton

There's a lovely little place called North Baddesley, just outside Romsey which is wonderful....I live there run run run away!
