Well, not much has changed, but I thought I'd put up some photos from a show and meet I attended on Sunday.

knuckles :come on now nick !

its been far too long ....

Where are these new wheels ? ? ? :) :oooh:

knuckles :looks good Nick, but as Clark says; surely it's time for new wheels? :P

... believe it or not (!) probably not long!!

I'll explain myself, and Clark you'll probably be happy with this.

I'll start by saying I'm not bored of my current wheels, far from it, I think they're fantastic.
BUT

They're ET35. All good for MK3 fiesta's, however I get serious scrubbing issues of which I'm not sure arch rolling will actually solve. Soooo..., at some point soon, I may be picking up a set of 15" Escort GTI alloys with an ET40 offset, which should alleviate the scrubbing entirely, especially once I get 45 profile tyres all round.

DON'T LAUGH... :P

Cheers Jon. Was an absolute pain in the arse to smoke them! The glue was so set I managed to snap the casing on one of them so up close it looks a bit crap, but other than that all good. They even give a more evenly distributed light output than my HID's!!

ET35 is the correct offset for a mk5 mate

40 will be a bit tucked in, but if your rubbing it should sort it out

usually best to get in the middle around 37 :Q

I could always get some 2 or 3 mm spacers to compensate, but I still get rubbing with 45 profile tyres too, damn big arches lol :)

Either get some fiesta wheels for it or something that fits properly, or lower it properly. It probably wouldnt rub if you had uprated shocks.

Did anything come of those mondeo wheels a while back? cant remember if it was mondeos or escort gti :-? They would suit it, or mk5 or 6 zs wheels

Hello mate, haven't posted for ages so thought I would! The cars looking nice as always, except when you had those red things on it :oooh: lol. Hope you've been alright anyway. Got some big problems with the mk4 at the moment, but when they're sorted I might bring the rot on wheels to one of the meets!!

I was looking at RS2k alloys, however am now looking and am within days of picking up Ford Escort Gti alloys (5 spoke 15's, ET40).

Well, where to start mate. It's massively down on power, think the MAF is effed to be honest so getting a price on a new one on Monday. In the meantime, I'm unplugging it and resetting the ECU to see if that brings any joy but I very very much doubt it. It does make a difference not having the MAF plugged in, but it by no means solves the problem hence trying an ECU reset next. It's in a bad way atm then lol, near side arch and under seal has all be welded so that's been filled and primered.
I've been alright though anyway, been with the gf ages now, and engaged and all that so will be looking to save up and move out hopefully, but thats all money and that's not a particularly good subject atm either
Cool compared to what mate? :P

Still got to respray the surround for it at the moment, and the mesh itself, the black paint has started to chip off already .

Chevening is a small hamlet not far from Chipstead, Sevenoaks. On previous occasions of me going there, its been quite busy, however this time, it was fairly empty, so a photoshoot session dawned upon me. I'm hoping one or two of these photos will make it into one of the mags promoting my local club :)
