hi, im new to the site
hey im new to the site (well been signed up for a month or so now but not on much) if any of you are on passionford i may know you from there
anyway i bought a FRST the beginning of the year, needed work doing to it but got for a good price and thought, sod it im gonna give a restoration a go before i get bogged down with wife and kids bleeding me dry...
few pics from when i got it

well anyway first thing first was getting it painted so i found a local sprayer in hayes (t-bird autos) got a very good price and left him the car. this is how it turned out
just as it was getting finished off

after a wash and a polish before the uxbridge show

and the only other noticable thing ive done since the paint job is change the steering wheel, although the gearbox has been rebuilt, new clutch, alternator. and a pipercross filter to get some chatter.

exhaust is next (4" outward rolled mongoose) and then get to work on some engine mods, nothin spectacular. just the usual mods to get 200bhp
anyway thats me and the car, if you see me drivin about give me a shout. i dont bite lol

Welcome to FT fella
If you decide to change the ignition leads I will buy the old ones off of you (they are the originals btw)
Apart from the gearnob (and now steering wheel) the car looks completely standard.
Please keep the standard amber indicators in, I think they look so much better standard looking outside.
Car looks stunning btw

cheers fella, car is standard (apart from exhaust, think the original ones had a square end on the back box iirc) one of the reasons i bought it. although after having it a few months now i want it quicker
gear knob will get changed for a original one someday.
as it stands the orange indicators are staying put, even if its just to p*ss off the locals who like there clear lenses

cheeRS for the good vibes, makes it even more worthwhile when others appreciate it too
it does handle well with the coilovers although ive had a few problems since they been on... snapped a wheel stud driving to work and the rest of the wheel nuts were loose, the y fronts definitely turned brown when the nut fell out when i took the cap off the wheel lol
