Any ideas? I dont really want to leave wires just hanging between the door and bodywork incase they get trapped or crushed between the two.
Cheers
Hi,
Firstly, unplug it, then twist the clip to take it off.
The plug and the clip is simply glued on with weak epoxy, use a sharp knife to cut the contact point.
Then reconnect plug.
Now wires can pass through

Superseded, overcome, bettered, rendered useless
And I thought this thread immortalised me on FT.com. Little did I know it was just a worthless string of text, merely to be deleted by a power-happy gay-named Channel 4 reality TV presenter
Al, you suck willies. I thank you.

You need a alarm to the car and then connect up the central locking to the remote function on the alarm.

Re: Guide to fitting central locking in a 3dr Mk3 Fiesta
got a pair of central lock
one of them is of a fiesta mk3 and the otherone is probably from a fiesta mk4. every thing is the same apart from the inside handle which i can use the old one.
when it comes to the wires i found a small problem
the mk4 lock:
white purple
yellow black
black
red black
mk3 lock
white brown
yellow brown
brown
red yellow
i figured out that the white purple must go with the white brown
yellow black with yellow brown
now ...
black with brown (PROBABLY)
red black with red yellow.
am i right regarding when connecting the wires together ?
and thich one is the earth and live ?
