Re: (Guide) 2i loom to FRST OFAC and OFAB Pin Changes
Converting an XR2i loom to OFAC
1) Pin no. 8 (brown) needs moving to pin 27, which is empty (CO adjuster signal wire)
2) Pin no. 27 (brown/yellow) needs moving to pin no. 45
3) EDIS Module pin 2 (blue/yellow) may now be disregarded as it is not used by the 0FAB ECU (pin 28 on ECU).
isnt blue and yellow pin 3 on e-dis???
dont suppose ya kno whre pins 1(PIP) and 3(SAW) go to on the ecu on the xr2i loom go?

Re: (Guide) 2i loom to FRST OFAC and OFAB Pin Changes
hi all
got a zetec turbo and want to run ofac ecu as i have one already
the question are
1. i have the inlet manifold and loom from the late xr3i 16v efi what do i need to replace for this conversion ie
(ATS) etc
2. do you need to change any wires etc
3. i have heard you can use a cossie 3bar map sensor with the ofac ecu is this true
any info on this conversion would be a great help
ps i also have a xr2i 8v loom would it be easyer to just fit this
thanks

Re: (Guide) 2i loom to FRST OFAC and OFAB Pin Changes
Right all... Sorry to dredge all this up again!
Ive just converted my 1.6i Orion to a Fiesta RST engine/ecu. From 1AFA to OFAC! I havn't changed anything wiring wise, other than the air temp sensor!
Now it starts and runs but hesitates as it comes on boost, doesnt not boost limit and is running very lean! It seems adjusting the CO Pot doesnt make any difference to the way the car runs even with it unplugged. Reading back thru this old thread, i shouldve changed some Pins on the ECU plug?
Pin 8 on the plug to Pin 27... For the CO pot (this would explain why its running lean and the co pot is unresponsive)
Pin 27 to pin 45... Map sensor, (maybe this will cure the hesitation coming on boost and give be boost limit back)
Any advice welcome!?

Don't know about 1AFA,but OFAB has a marelli map sensor which is matched with the ECU,as OFAC does too. They are not interchangeable.I don't know what map sensor 1AFA use,but from what you describe I believe that ECU doens't "receive" boost values and enters safe mode. Also if you use OFAB,you must reassure that the pot and map sensor goes to the appropriate pins on the ECU.What boost r u running?OFA has a boost limit on 0.6 bar.You can't run more unless the ECU is chipped.
