Yes, it's usually about 25-30% in the first year only.

Re: FIESTATURBO.COM INSURANCE SCHEME WITH CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
Hmm,
Mine runs out in the middle of February and I was going to go with classic insurance as at the moment I don't drive the car except shows and the odd weekend.
I shall find out what your costs are for normal insurance compared to classic I think. But I feel it may still be too expensive considering I am going to want fully comp an agreed price for the car and protected NCB.

Sorry, it's a special, bespoke scheme which cannot be done online so you have to ring the team. Sorry.

Re: FIESTATURBO.COM INSURANCE SCHEME WITH CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
yeah its getting more expensive, i think its bacuse people being laid off from work, insurance companies covering morgages etc are paying out and we all paying the price.
£570 for a mk2 with a 1.6 engine is a rip! i insured my xr2 for £185 through HIC the other year.
this year my insurance for rs went up over a £100 for no reason

A new stipulation on the Insurance Scheme is that you must also have at least 1 year's NCB (unless you have NCB on a second car or a company car letter to state at least 1 year's claim free driving).

Re: FIESTATURBO.COM INSURANCE SCHEME WITH CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
Quick question
I currently have one car insured with HIC, with which I have 5 years no claims.
I have another car which I'm putting on the road at the end of the month (a little 1.1 with no modifications or anything) and so I'll be starting a new policy for that. Because I have 5 years no claims on my first car, can that help in reducing the premium on a new policy, say with your company?
The reason I ask is because I'm getting ridiculous quotes online for a car which should, in theory, be costing me absolute peanuts to insure
But obviously there's nothing to suggest that I've been insured on any other vehicle because I can't carry my no claims over.

Yes, we can give you 5 years introductory discount if you're claim-free & over 25. If under 25, we can still give you some discount.

Re: FIESTATURBO.COM INSURANCE SCHEME WITH CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
Hello, my insurance is up in june, at the moment with tesco with 0 no claims, 1 year in june, this is simply due to me having a company car for about 2 and half years so lost all my no claims bonus!(previously had 6 years but last time i held insurance in my name was 2003 with adrian flux!) I can still get a letter from my previous employer to state i had a company car, just wondering if any of this could be taken into consideration as ive had a license since i was 17 and now 31! and never had an insurance claim that was my fault, 2 recovered from other insurers over 5 years ago.
cheers!
