Re: 2i turbo winter resto..
That engine bay does it for me
Its the right amount of everything, not too much chrome, not too much colour coding and black pipes. Absolutely spot on. Good luck with it as Im sure you know it will be worth it in the end

Copycat, copycat, copycat, copycat !!!!!
Be sure to get plenty of plastic bags to label and put everything in as you go, or you WILL lose stuff and forget where it goes. Ive got my knowledge and books to help you along the way if needed.
Are ya staying merc grey or are ya colour changing to moonstone????

small update as iv only been down to the yard a few times really need to put more hours in but its slowly coming apart,iv got the whole car loom out, engine, gearbox, fuel tank ect started grinding down the rusted fuel cap area an luckerly enough wasn't rotten all round the cap so dosen't need a full repair panel which is a good start.

tbh mate, if your goping to do a repair around the filler hole, i would advise fitting a repair panel, as it rusts from the inside out, if you replace the bit you have marked, theers a good chance theers more rust on the inside and later on its going to bubble through, best prevent that now rather than have to repair it again at a later date

time for a small update, not been to the yard all week so got down their today to start sorting the rust an taking off a few more parts,so far iv cut out the rust on the fuel cap section an got repair section cut ready to be welded in done the same with a small hole i found on the drivers side sill,an also took the drivers side wing off an cut out the inner wing,i had an accident 3 months after i bought the car an it was repaired but iv never been happy with so nows the time to sort it out hopefully everything should be welded in the next week or so,i also removed the all the engine bay an car loom only thing left in side now is the steering rack an pedals its getting thier slowly.

Re: 2i turbo winter resto..
thats the black stuff stuck on the floor, its called anti drum, sound dampener or sound deadner, stops vibrations on metal, so panels dont sound tinny
